"Bus drivers are usually on the front line with the kids everyday.  We're out with them.  We can see the needs, and as it gets colder, some of them won't have gloves or hats, or coats," said Warren County Bus Driver and Leadership Steering Committee member Chuck Cato.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- For the past three weeks, bus drivers for Warren County Schools have been gathering clothes to help students stay warm this winter.

Many of the drivers and transportation department employees have donated new and used clothing, and even students are donating. The clothes will go to the family resource centers in the schools, and one bus driver says it's easy for the drivers to see the need.

"Bus drivers are usually on the front line with the kids everyday. We're out with them. We can see the needs, and as it gets colder, some of them won't have gloves or hats, or coats," said Warren County Bus Driver and Leadership Steering Committee member Chuck Cato.

Cato says anyone can still bring any size clothing, coats, gloves, winter hats, and even new socks and underwear to the transportation department between now and this Wednesday, Dec. 18. Students can also give donations to their bus drivers. For more information on the Warren County Schools Transportation Dept. see the related link.
