BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- It's a struggle schools are used to these days... finding the funds to begin new projects. For the Warren County School System that battle just got easier.
Meijer Corporation presented Warren County Schools with a $25,000 donation Monday afternoon to help fund the Synergy Center. The Family Resource Center run facility is used to hold items collected from donation drives year round.
"The Family Resource Center came up as one of those items that was really important to them. As we started to talk to them about what they did and how they met the needs, it just really went in line with the Meijer core values," said Meijer Market Director, Steve Higbee.
"When you look at the needs of this district, I can assure you it will be money well spent," said Warren County Schools Superintendent, Rob Clayton.
The storage area the money is going to, is used to hold personal care items, shoes, non-perishable foods and other necessities to benefit the students of the school system.
