WARREN CO, Ky (WBKO) -- Four small children one as young as 6 months old are in a home in Warren County when police say a woman pulled out a knife, swung it wildly, and allegedly stabbed a man.

Warren County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 31-year old Sarah Stevens of Bowling Green.

They responded to a call about a stabbing on Mount Olivet Road yesterday around 4 pm. When they arrived they found James Lindsey with a stab wound to his side.

According to the investigation Stevens was swinging the knife at Loretta Chapman when Lindsey stepped in to protect her and was stabbed.

The children ages 6 months, 1, 2, and 8 years old were not hurt.

Police say Stevens took off but was later found on Kenilwood Way and was arrested. She is now in the Warren County Jail facing assault and 5 counts of wanton endangerment charges.
