Warren County Burn Ban still in Place

Several counties in our area have been under a burn ban, some have lifted theirs, but Warren County has not.

Warren County Judge/Executive Mike Buchanon placed the county under the ban on June 26th.

He did this due to the dry conditions, and the extreme heat the area was experiencing.

County Officials say the ban is still in place, because all of the county hasn't gotten as much rain as other parts.

"It's inconsistent, but even in the areas it has come down significantly in the last few days, the top growth is still dry, and it still is a hazardous situation, but we will continue to review it," said Buchanon.

Buchanon said they will likely re-evaluate where the county stands and it's conditions next week.
