The Western Kentucky University Board Of Regents approved a new general education program to begin in the Fall semester of 2014.
The 39-hour colonnade program was developed to update the curriculum that's been used for more than ten years.
The new program divides gen-ed into three categories: foundations, which covers intellectual and practical skills, explorations, covering knowledge of cultures and the natural world, and connections, covering individual and social responsibility.
