WINCHESTER, Ky. (AP) — Police say a Winchester woman has been killed and a man wounded by gunfire.
Winchester Police Chief Kevin Palmer told The Winchester Sun that said a man called emergency crews Wednesday to say he'd been shot three times. When officers arrived at the scene, they found him lying in the front yard. He was taken to University of Kentucky hospital in Lexington for treatment.
Upon entering the home, police found a deceased woman. WKYT-TV reports the coroner identified her as 64-year-old Patricia Volkar.
Police say they are investigating circumstances of the shooting.
