Winchester Woman and Child Fatally Stabbed

WINCHESTER, Ky. (AP) -- Winchester Police say a young woman and her toddler daughter have been fatally stabbed in their home.

WKTY-TV (http://bit.ly/KVAViU ) reported the bodies of 23-year-old Danel Korrey Stanton and 22-month-old Kaydence Ray Miers were found Sunday afternoon.

Winchester Police said Lilly Stanton, the mother and grandmother of the victims, was also stabbed and was taken by helicopter to University of Kentucky Hospital It was not immediately known if her injuries were life-threatening.

Autopsies were to be performed Monday.

Police didn't say whether they have a suspect, but the station reported there was not an active suspect search on Sunday.
