PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Firefighters are investigating after finding a woman inside a burning home in eastern Kentucky.
WYMT-TV reports the house in Paintsville was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived on Saturday night. Firefighter Brian Jeffiers told the station that crews went in through the back door and found the victim.
Brenda Ward, 54, was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
