A Warren County woman won her appeal to Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway after she said the Warren County school board violated the Open Meetings Law during a meeting it held behind closed doors in April.
Hundreds of parents waited outside during the meeting hoping to comment on the board's decision to lower the number of students allowed to attend Bowling Green Independent Schools with state funding. The Attorney General said the board should have made reasonable efforts to conduct its meeting in a place convenient to the public.
"At this time I don't plan on pursuing legal action. The point was made that the Warren County School Board violated open meetings laws, and that was what we wanted to make the public aware of," said Cameron Lebedinsky.
