A driver traveling the wrong way caused a major accident on Russellville Road Tuesday morning near Rockfield.
Police say Michael Lewis was traveling westbound in the east bound lanes.
Sonya Cardwell was traveling eastbound and served to avoid the oncoming vehicle, but the two collided.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital. Cardwell was taken by a private vehicle while Lewis was taken by ambulance. There is no word on the extent of their injuries.
Police say it appears Michael Lewis was under the influence.
The crash remains under investigation by the Warren County Sheriff's Office.
