PHILADELPHIA (WBKO) -- This is not a joke. George Zimmerman will fight DMX in a three-round boxing match for charity.
"It has been all over the media that DMX wants George," stated Celebrity Boxing promoter Damon Feldman, "and George has accepted and will do the match. The match will be one of the Biggest Celebrity Boxing matches of all time."
Feldman is set to hold a press conference February 12th at 12:00 PM (CST) in Philadelphia to announce the date and location of the event.
It has been reported that Zimmerman was initially interested in boxing Kanye West, but DMX will be the one to take on the challenge.
DMX has stated that he will be fighting for "every black person who has been done wrong in the system." Zimmerman was found not guilty for the shooting death of unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in July of 2013.
Zimmerman revealed to RadarOnline.com that boxing was a hobby even before "the incident." The money from the upcoming event will go to an undisclosed animal rescue group.
