Friends and Family in South Central Kentucky Hold Vigil For Missing Lexington Man

"For the last ten days it's been tough. Family is a wreck, and you can understand that, and we're just trying to pull together and help one another, and hold strong for one another, but it's just been a terrible trying time for everyone in the family," said Alex Johnson's uncle Butch Morris.

FRANKLIN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Friends and family have not seen or heard from Alex Johnson of Lexington since the friday before Christmas. His family back in Warren and Simpson counties has had a particularly difficult time during the holidays as the search continued.

Tonight at 7p.m. friends and family are invited to gather at a candle light vigil in support of his family, and in hopes he returns to them safely.

"For the last ten days it's been tough. Family is a wreck, and you can understand that, and we're just trying to pull together and help one another, and hold strong for one another, but it's just been a terrible trying time for everyone in the family," said Alex Johnson's uncle Butch Morris.

The vigil will take place at the First United Methodist Church's student life center in downtown Franklin at seven.

Alex is six feet tall, and weighs about 150 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Anyone with information regarding his disappearance is asked to contact the Lexington Police Department at (859) 258-3600.
