A Tennessee detective sergeant who was acquitted in the traffic death of a Hopkinsville girl has been rehired.
Earlier this year, Ron Killings was acquitted of the reckless homicide of 11-year-old Lakeisha White in 2008.
White was killed as she crossed a street in Murfeesboro, Tennessee, by a car driven by Killings.
Killings was rehired by Sheriff Truman Jones, who won re-election last week.
