City of Bowling Green Employees Complete Day Of Caring Project

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - We are just one week away from the United Way's Day of Caring. Wednesday, employees from the City of Bowling Green got a head start.

More than a dozen volunteers cleaned up the garden outside the United Way office in downtown Bowling Green. City employees say it's nice to get out from behind their desk and get their hands a little dirty to help a great cause.

"Just to work together and come together as one. I mean there are different people from the police department, fire department, and just different organizations that are here today just to help out with an organization that helps out the community so much," says Sabrina Johnson.

While many employees were busy outside planting in the garden, a handful were inside sprucing up the office space.
