In a non-emergency situation, fire chiefs from all across the Commonwealth were in Bowling Green this weekend for the Kentucky Association of Fire Chiefs Conference.
More than 70 fire chiefs came together this weekend to network with each other.
The purpose of the conference was to give fire chiefs the opportunity to learn from each other as well as various speakers.
"When you talk with other people in the same industry you learn how they do things and sometimes you take away a good idea," says Bowling Green Fire Chief Greg Johnson.
"Training is just important. There's probably a lot of company officers in this room that teach and know everything I'm talking about, all the firefighters have heard it from them already. So when you invite a guy in from out of town more than 50 miles away and suddenly you have an expert on your hands and people write down what you say," says former New York Firefighter and guest speaker, John Salka.
This was the second annual conference.
Both years were in Bowling Green.
