Bourbon Pecan Saltine Bark


About 40 saltine crackers
2 sticks butter
1 cup brown sugar
Pinch salt
2 tbsp bourbon
1 ¼ cups chopped chocolate or chocolate chips
½ cup chopped pecans


Lay the saltine crackers out onto a rimmed, foil-lined baking sheet. In a small saucepan, bring the butter, brown sugar, salt, and bourbon to a boil and allow to cook for 2-3 minutes. Pour this mixture over the crackers, spreading evenly. Bake at 375 degrees until bubbly, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with the chocolate pieces. Once the chocolate has melted, spread evenly with a spatula and top with the chopped pecans. Place in the refrigerator or freezer to cool/set and break into bark-like pieces.
