FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Highway Safety Director Bill Bell says his agency has been receiving reports about drivers not using headlights. Bell says just because you can see the pavement ahead, doesn't mean your vehicle is as visible as it could be with headlights turned on.
Kentucky State Police Lt. David Jude says laws require motorists to have their headlights on until 30 minutes before sunrise, and turn them back on 30 minutes after sunset. He says lights should also be turned on when visibility is low or weather conditions are adverse.
And dim headlights when traffic is coming or you're trailing another vehicle.
