Afternoon highs will climb into the low and mid 30s across the WBKO viewing area, with west winds blowing around 10mph. This means that there will be times tomorrow when the wind chill is in the teens and possibly the single digits. So although there is plenty of sun in sight, the cold is going to continue through the end of the weekend.
ACTIVE FOR NEXT WEEK..A warm up will begin Monday as the Arctic air retreats, but it will be an active week weather-wise. Monday night into Tuesday wintry mix is likely throughout the area, but accumulations will be less than 1/2" where snow does fall. Most places will see a sleet/rain mix rather than snow, and any accumulation that is seen will melt away during the day. Rain chances come back in for Wednesday night into Thursday with afternoon highs climbing back into the low 50s before we dry out to end the work week.
