A plea of not guilty is expected today from George Zimmerman when he makes a court appearance in Sanford, Florida.
He turned himself in at a county jail yesterday after he was charged with second-degree murder in the death of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin.
The mother of the 17-year-old, who campaigned for Zimmerman's arrest and prosecution, also said that she thinks the shooting was an accident.
