Ohio County Police Chase

A police chase in Ohio County comes to an end when a suspect crashes his car.
Kentucky State Police say Mark Cates along with a passenger pulled up to a traffic safety checkpoint on US Highway 231 orth of Hartford Saturday night.
They say he did not have identification and they suspected he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
When he was asked to pull to the side of the road for more questioning officers say he took off.
Troopers and Ohio County Deputies pursued Cates for about 35 miles.
That is when he lost control of his car and crashed into an embankment.
Cates and his passenger, Nicole Taylor both from Indiana, were arrested and charged with numerous offenses including drug charges.
