New Jersey Mom Accused Of Child Endangerment
Posted: 1:37 PM May 2, 2012
A New Jersey mom is facing a second degree child endangerment charge for allegedly taking her five year old daughter tanning with her. As she entered court, Patricia Krentcil claimed she was innocent and called the accusation she harmed her child "a lie." During the court hearing she pled "not guilty." She says her daughter got her sunburn from being outside on a warm day, not from a tanning salon. Though Krentcil admitted she took her daughter to the salon she says the five year old was never "in" the standup tanning booth. Just last month Krentcil's daughter, Anna, had apparently complained to a school nurse about a sunburn she got "while tanning with mommy." New Jersey law bars anyone under 14 from using a tanning salon. Five year old Anna is still living at home while her mom fights these charges.
