Drivers Rev Up Engines For 18th Annual Mini-Corvette Challenge
It was some fast paced fun for the 18th Annual Mini-Corvette Challenge.
WBKO along with 21 other teams drove Corvette go-carts around the National Corvette Museum's parking lot Saturday.
The event raises money for programs put together by Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky.
The organization teaches thousands of students about the business world, including how to become financially literate and workforce ready.
In the end, US Bank won first place in the event and got the coveted gold cup.
"It's been a great day, we won the race but the real winners are the kids of South Central Kentucky, I mean we've raised thousands of dollars for Junior Achievement, that's what counts. The rest of us getting to play a big kids role, and just having some fun, that's a bonus," says Craig Browning, who won the Gold Cup.
Hitcents came in second place and Pure Power Technology came in third.
WBKO's Jeff Woods and Shane Hollinde also won a best sportsmanship trophy.
The event raised 30,000 dollars for Junior Achievement.
