SOMERSET, KY. (AP) -- A central Kentucky man wanted for custodial interference has been found with his three children in a trailer park southern Alabama.

Somerset Police Lt. Shannon Smith said detectives arrested William Pilkington on Tuesday in Foley, Ala., and found his three children, 13-year-old Bekkah, 12-year-old Trey and 5-year-old Lily, safe.

Pilkington and the children vanished March 30, when he took the group on court-ordered visitation. He didn't return them home on April 8. The mother of the children, Amynichole Pilkington, reported them missing.

Amynichole Pilkington told The Commonwealth-Journal (http://bit.ly/LfoY6f ) she was making the nine-hour drive to pick up her children.

Amynichole Pilkington said, "That will be a long 9 hours."

Smith said detectives worked with the U.S. Marshals, Foley police and the Baldwin County, Ala., Sheriff's Department in the search.
