U.S. Marshals and Kentucky State Police arrested 21 people, including 12 who didn't comply with sex offender registration requirements, as part of a roundup in two western Kentucky counties.
The arrests were made as part of a weeklong check of sex offender compliance in Daviess and Henderson counties dubbed Operation Yellow Banks. Trooper Corey King said 188 sex offenders were checked for compliance, with 12 being charged with not properly registering their addresses.
Nine people who were not registered sex offenders were arrested on charges ranging from cultivation of marijuana to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
A total of 90 criminal charges were brought after the sweep.
