Most people get to fall asleep at night in their own bed.
Volunteers came together Saturday to build beds for some children who do not have that luxury.
The "Build a Bed" event took place in Glasgow to help children in need.
Volunteers built 30 beds for kids in Barren County.
The event was put together by Americorps, with the help of the county's schools systems and WBKO.
Americorps was able to collect 8000 dollars in donations to make this event happen.
"We're just really proud to be here and to be providing this much needed thing for children who are having a hard time maybe and hopefully, this will help them be more successful in school and in life," says Donna Morgan of Americorps.
"It's a good thing to give back and let them know that we're there in supporting them," says Angela Orozco, who helped build beds.
The event will also take place in five other counties.
