Memorial Service For Slain Kentucky State Trooper

A memorial service is scheduled for a Kentucky State Trooper who was shot and killed during a traffic stop.

Trooper Johnny Edrington was killed in December 1988 during a stop on Kentucky 80, West of London in Laurel County.

No one has ever been arrested for the killing.

The service will be held on Monday, May 15th at 2 pm eastern time at the Brookside Cemetery in Campbellsville.

In honor of the troopers service and sacrifice US 68 in Taylor County has been designated Edringtons Memorial Highway.

He was survived by his wife, who was expecting the couple's first child.
