Police Investigating Death of Laurel County Infant

HAZARD, KY. (AP) -- Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of a one-month-old infant.

Laurel County coroner Doug Bowling tells WYMT-TV that the mother of the infant called for an ambulance on Wednesday after the boy was found unresponsive.

The infant was taken to a hospital in London where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the infant's body was taken to Frankfort for an autopsy.
