Click It Or Ticket Campaign

Law enforcement agencies and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet are joining forces, for the national Click It Or Ticket campaign.

Last year, more than 700 people died in car accidents.

That's a decrease from previous years, so by cracking down, they hope to have zero fatalities on Kentucky roadways.

"Of course we want to keep our fatality numbers headed towards zero, and not in the other direction the way to do that is to get more people to buckle their seat belts get our seat belt usages up and hopefully prevent injuries and fatalities on our roadways ," says Greg Dennison with the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety.

Click it or ticket is going on nationally.

Both state and city agencies are taking part in the campaign.
