Pedestrian Killed Along Eastern Kentucky Highway

HAZARD, Ky. (AP) -- Authorities say a Perry County pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle along a highway in eastern Kentucky.

Kentucky State Police say 57-year-old Thomas Wesley Hall of Hazard was walking along Kentucky Highway 15 North when he tried to cross the roadway and was struck around 9:40 p.m. EDT Friday.

Police say Hall was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

Police say the driver and his two passengers were not injured. Police say no criminal charges have been filed.
