LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- A statement from Churchill Downs says Blige, who has been called the "Queen of Hip Hop Soul," will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the Louisville track around 5:10 p.m. on May 5, shortly before the running of the 138th Kentucky Derby.
Blige has received nine Grammy Awards and four American Music Awards since her debut album "What's the 411" in 1992 that had two No. 1 hits -- "You Remind Me" and "Real Love."
