The Barren County Sheriff's Department says Deputy Mike Houchens was on routine patrol, when he noticed a vehicle parked next to Skaggs Creek Bridge on Matthews Mill Road. Upon his arrival, two subjects fled on foot. His initial investigation of the vehicle, led to the finding of items used in the making of meth.
Deputies Houchens, Bennett, and Wyatt continued a search of the area, and found a female identified as 38-year-old Melissa G. Logsdon of Glasgow, near the creek with an active meth lab. Logsdon was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine-first offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At approximately 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, a drug task force detective recognized two subjects walking on Finney Road that were said to have been involved in the earlier incident.
26-year-old Christina A. Milton of Glasgow and 27-year-old Garrick L. Myatt of Cave City were arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine-first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and second-degree fleeing or evading police. All three have been lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
