Bank Filed Foreclosure Suit Against Former Ag Commissioner

A Southeastern Kentucky bank has filed a foreclosure suit against former Ag Commissioner Richie Farmer and his wife.

The suit seeks more than $300,000 due on their mortgage loan of 2004.

First National Bank of Manchester filed suit Wednesday, May 2nd saying no mortgage payments had been made since at least January.

Rebecca Farmer filed for divorce in April of last year and the case is pending.

Her attorney says Richie is responsible for making the mortgate payments under an agreement made in the divorce case.
