LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Authorities say a 6-year-old boy was killed in a two-vehicle crash in northern Madison County, Ky.
The Lexington Herald-Leader (http://bit.ly/MOfnF6) reports the accident occurred around 10:30 Friday night. The Fayette County Coroner's Office said Wellington Abreu of Richmond was pronounced dead at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.
According to police, the child was a passenger in a car that turned into the path of a pickup. Police said the driver of the car, 43-year-old Richard Pojeky, suffered injuries to his chest. The driver of the pickup, Lewis Cole Jr., was not injured.
Police said everyone in the crash was wearing seat belts.
