Thunderfest Celebration Tonight

Posted: 12:21 PM Jul 3, 2012
Reporter: Michael Gossum

After months of preparation Thunderfest finally arrived.

Hundreds turned out for food, music, and a whole lot of fun.

Salvage Town performed for everyone who came out tonight.

This event is about having a good time, organizers say it's about raising money for charity and remembering what the Fourth of July represents.

"While we're raising money for charity, we can come together to celebrate Independence Day, we have so many freedoms. It's nice that we at least pause one day a year to remember those freedoms," said Kim Thomas, Citizens First Bank.

This was the 41st year for Thunderfest, put on by the Kiwanis Club and this year, Citizens First Bank.
