Gas Prices Skyrocket

Gas prices sky-rocketed in Bowling Green today, but some gas stations didn't go with the rising trend.

Swifty Gas on Nashville Road was still at 3.77 this afternoon, and it had the people lined up for gas.

Most of Bowling Green is at nearly four dollars a gallon.

Many people wonder why prices seem higher here than in surrounding areas

"I just want to know why it's going up here when it's cheaper down in Franklin and the Smoky Mountains and everything, than it is here in Bowling Green," said Linda Duffer, Bowling Green.

At Swifty, customers had to pay in cash, but the people lined up didn't seem to mind.
