Scarlett, if you do not like the crosses, then either don't look at them or leave.

The crosses placed on display harmed no one. The students who put them up understood that they would take them down. A harmless display by students who wanted to make a point, but the crosses were their project. It indeed was poor judgment and poor taste for anyone to interfere with the crosses. And by the way, where did the condoms come from - does the young woman carry a supply with her?

Yeah, I think what she was doing was just trying to provoce anger, because shes afraid of the pro-lifer's and the truth they are speaking

John Sohl mistreated the young woman and has outright lied throughout the video they took of their encounter with her. IMHO, the condoms were appropriate, abortions can be avoided with proper birth control. Sohl & his gang are scary Religionists who would prefer the USA to become a Theocracy.

if the school condones this as free speech , next time they have a pro-choice or lgbt display , take crosses and have them strewn all over it. see how that goes

I just want to know who gave the okay in the first place for the crosses to be "placed". This should have never occurred.

One is freedom of speech, one is vandalism.. two different issues entirely. I think the police acted appropriately and I'm glad to see that not all western students think alike. So in that case, cheers western!

I think the whole idea of strewing condoms on Christian symbols representing babies who had been killed is utterly disgusting. If the "condom" girl wanted to protest the anti-abortion project by saying use birth control.. couldn't she have found a better way? I think she should have been at the least chastised, at the most arrested for desecration of Christian symbols.

So, let me get this straight. Placing a removable sticker on a statue of Henry Hardin Cherry after planking is "vandalism" (which resulted in the initial expulsion of the accused student), but placing condoms on a privately owned, university sanctioned cross display -the most sacred symbol to Christians - is "art." Interesting, especially since Deborah Wilkins, General Counsel and Chief of Staff at WKU is quoted in regard to the planking incident in the "Lexington Herald Leader" as saying, "Defacing someone else's property is a crime." "You don't go ahead and put stuff on artwork."
So again, let me get this straight - removable sticker on statue - "crime." Condoms on cross display - okayed by university faculty.
Nice Western....
