BG Area Chamber Of Commerce Holds Golf Tournament For Small Businesses

The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce held a special golf tournament Monday.

The "Small Business Golf Challenge" took place at the Bowling Green Country Club.

The chamber held the event to show its appreciation of businesses in the area.

Atmos Energy, Robinson Construction, Citizens First Bank, Blue Cotton, and Ameriprise were some of the participants.

"I'm glad they get it together for us, it brings the community together and a lot of businesses that support the Chamber of Commerce," says Kevin Briggs, an Ameriprise Financial Advisor.

"This is one of the programs that we have to raise money for the Chamber to fund some of the other appreciation events we do through the year," says Gail Henderson of the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce.

First, second, and third place winners in Monday's golf challenge won gift certificates and other goodies.

The event is held every year.
