President Obama doesn't officially start his re-election campaign until this weekend, but he reached out to labor unions today.
The President kicked off the 2012 conference of the AFL-CIO's Building and Construction Trades Department.
In his speech he focused on America's infra-structure.
The President blamed Republicans for repeatedly voting against his initiatives to create construction jobs, and he said it's time to do better.
"Now it's up to us to give our businesses access to the best roads and airports and high-speed rail and internet networks. Now it's up to us to make sure our kids are learning in the best schools. Now it's our turn to do big things. It's our turn to do big things."
More than two-thousand state and local labor leaders are in Washington for two days of discussions.
