FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky State Police say an analysis of a skull and other bones found in Fleming County shows that there are two sets of remains.

Police spokesman Endre Samu told The Ledger Independent that preliminary findings show that one individual was taller than the other.

A homeowner found a skull in a ditch near his home while doing yard work last week and state police confirmed finding more bones in the area this week. The remains were sent to the state medical examiner's office in Frankfort, which determined that there were two sets of remains.

Samu said the remains could have been in the area for up to 24 months, and they don't appear to be from an approved burial location.

Anyone with information should contact the KSP post in Morehead.
