WKU Dedicates New Music Facility

WKU dedicated a new building on its campus today.

The Music Rehearsal Hall has been open since January, but was officially dedicated today.

The facility features many state-of-the-art rooms equipped to enhance the acoustics without disturbing other rooms.

Many are calling the building a great recruiting tool.

"Our facilities before were not as good as the high schools from which we recruit, and people were not coming here because of our facilities, but in spite. Now they can come because of our facilities, as well as the programs we have to offer, and that's a great marriage," said Dr. Mitzi Groom, Music Department Head.

The building has been a project in the works for a decade, and now everyone hopes it will be a beacon to the future.
