Wicked Weather spinning up trouble in Glasgow.

Powerful winds and heavy rain snapped trees and knocked down powerlines.

A husband and wife, who live at Little Acres Trailer Park, says the winds also picked up their portable swimming pool, that was full of water, and ripped it apart.

"In 40 years I've been here, I've never seen it this bad. I've seen the winds blow a few limbs down, but it's knocked 100 year old trees there and the front yard, it's literally a disaster area around here," says Ricky Kinslow, a Glasgow Resident.

They also say a tree fell on-top of a neighbor's home and that the storm came out of nowhere.

"How can anyone not here that, not know it, but this storm must have done it's thing and then been over in minutes, I don't know what else to say, but I'm shocked, it just blows my mind," says Shelly Kinslow, a Glasgow Resident.

The storm also knocked down numerous fences one at Glasgow High School, another outside a home nearby.

"I woke up, I can't remember what time, about four thirty, the wind was blowing really hard and I was looking around and noticed my fence was gone, trees were over, it was really strong," says David Krantz, a Glasgow Resident.

Apart from destroying his fence, the winds also damaged the man's lamppost in his front yard.

Close by, one woman was also rattled when lightning struck a tree.

"Last year, I think, the lightning got half of it and then last night, it got a little bit more," says Bessie Riddle, a Glasgow Resident.

Residents say they are now just trying to pick up the pieces left behind by the storm.

According to Farmers Rule Electric, at the height of the storm, more than four thousand homes lost power across Barren, Hart and Metcalfe County.

There is still no word if any tornadoes did in fact touch down in the area.
