Lois Marie Rush Burke, 82, of Rockfield, entered into eternal rest April 7, 2012, at 2:30 a.m. at the Hospice Center.

Mrs. Burke worked as a supervisor of data processing at Detrex Corp. until her retirement.

She was the daughter of the late Luther Dee and Lula Mae Stone Rush. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Arthur Preston Burke; and a brother, Kenneth Rush. She was a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church. She is survived by her five children, Michael Burke and his wife, Mary Ann, Kathryn Payne and her husband, Bill, Karen Miller and her husband, Lee, and Brenda Burke, all of Rockfield, and Gregory Burke and his wife, Elizabeth, of Mount Washington; a brother, Bill Rush and his wife, Paula, of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; a sister, Bonnie Clemmons and her husband, L.H., of Kingston, N.C.; sister-in-law, Velma Rush, and brother-in-law, Carroll Burke, both of Bowling Green; 11 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel and after 10 a.m. Tuesday. Funeral services have been entrusted to the J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel.
