Cecil Theodore Walton, 53, of Bowling Green, died April 30, 2012, at his home after a courageous battle with leukemia.

Cecil was born on Oct. 1, 1958, the son of Theo Walton and the late Christine Walton.

He was a 1976 graduate of Bowling Green High school.

Cecil bought Walton Brothers Plumbing in 1996 from his Uncle Wendell and continued the business in the same name.

He is survived by a son, Nicholas Walton of Bowling Green and currently stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota; a daughter, Lauren Walton of Bowling Green; father, Theo Walton; sister, Joanne Walton; brothers, Joe Walton (Lynne), Jerry Walton and Richard Walton (Belmarie); Annette Walton, former wife and mother of their children, all of Bowling Green; numerous nieces and nephews; and many close friends.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Kentucky or the Humane Society of Bowling Green.

A special thank you to the 4C staff at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, and Drs. Seshadri, S. Smith and R. Shadowen for their outstanding care and compassion throughout his battle.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday, with the service at 1 p.m. at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
