Mary Lee Cummings, 73, of Bowling Green, passed away on May 3, 2012, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Jan. 30, 1939, in Albany to the late Lee and Mary Elizabeth Cecil. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She retired from Kelley Office Supply, was an avid bowler, a faithful fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James A. Cummings; two sons, Jim Cummings (Lynn) and Ron Cummings (Dacia) of Bowling Green; a daughter, Karen King (Terry) of Rockfield; 12 grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon and Ashley Cummings, Brandon and Bradley Moxley, Casi, Erika, Taylor, Joshua and Matthew Cummings, Kris and Jamie Lee King; five great-grandchildren, Jaxson Cummings, Mayce, Mason, Madux and Katelyn Moxley; three sisters, Betty Parrigin (JC), Sue Blackburn (Phil) and Faye Garrett (Charles); a brother, Austin Cecil (Sue); and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Cecil.
Funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. with visitation on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., all at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens.
