Harold Hazelip, 82, of Morgantown, died Wednesday at the Morgantown Care and Rehabilitation Center.
The Detroit, Mich., native was a son of the late Christy M. Hazelip and Dorothy Thomas Hazelip. He was a retired Firefighter and Assistant Fire Chief with the Bowling Green Fire Department. He was a charter member of Glendale Baptist Church, a member of the Fountain Baptist Church in Fountain, Fla., and was a retired Chaplain for the Bay County Fire Department.
He was a member of the Bowling Green Masonic Lodge No. 73, F.&A.M.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. to service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Masonic Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Flener Hazelip of Morgantown; two sons, Donald Hazelip of Panama City, Fla., and David Hazelip of Morgantown; aunt, Cleo Harris of Bowling Green; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Flener (Christina) of Jetson and Shirley Flener (Angie) of Morgantown; extended family members, Terry and Mary Hightower of Sneads, Fla., and Brandon and John Hightower of Panama City, Fla.; nieces, Beth and Leigh and several other nieces and nephews.
