Tammy Lynne Farmer Violett, 38, of Beckley, W.Va., passed away Monday, May 14, 2012, at her residence on Virginia Street.

She was born July 15, 1973, in Baltimore, the daughter of Larry and Libby Rice Farmer.

Tammy spent most of her childhood in Bowling Green and attended Bowling Green High School. She was a nursing assistant and was a former customer service manager for several different retail stores. Tammy was preceded in death by a niece, Kristi Farmer Ballard, on Feb. 10, 2012.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three daughters, Kasie Elizabeth Frank and her husband, John, of Beckley, Rachel Margherite Farmer of Beckley and Sabrina Ann Violett of Beckley; her precious granddaughter, Kourtney Frank; her loving parents, Larry and Libby Farmer of Beckley; sisters, Susan Farmer of Bowling Green and April Farmer Baxter of Beckley; a nephew, Austin Farmer; nieces, Taylor Farmer, Kelly Monroe and Toni Wheatley; and Tammy’s companion, Robert Townsend.

Her remains rest at the Harper Free Methodist Church, 3662 Harper Road, Harper, W.Va., where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and where the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Gregg Lanham and the Rev. Dick Sellards officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park.
