Granville Louie Moore, 88, of Lewisburg, died Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Maple Manor Health Care Center in Greenville.
He was born Friday, Aug. 10, 1923, in Butler County. He was the son of the late Granville Moore and the late Vara McMillen Moore. He was the husband of the late Doris Fuller Moore.
He was a farmer and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Quality Church of Christ.
Surviving are a son, David Moore (Beth) of Greenville; a daughter, Lee Ann Owens (Charlie) of Bowling Green; three grandchildren, Sara Waldo and Josh Owens, both of Bowling Green, and Emily Moore of Greenville; and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Jeannie Diane Moore; a brother, J.D. Moore; and sisters, Mary Virginia Crafton, Hazel Moore and Ida Felts.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Price Funeral Home Inc. in Lewisburg, with Mr. Mark Page officiating. Interment will be in Quality Church of Christ Cemetery in Lewisburg.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Price Funeral Home Inc.
