Larry D. Raymer, 62, of Bowling Green, passed away Sunday at The Medical Center at Bowling Green at 5:31 a.m. The Grayson County native was born May 19, 1950, and was preceded in death by his parents, William P. and Allene Lucas Raymer.
Larry was the parts manager of Sikes Tire Inc. and attended Hillvue Heights Church in Bowling Green and Mount Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Leitchfield, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was a very special uncle to all his nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, he was a beloved neighbor and was loved by all the children in his neighborhood.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years of marriage, Phyllis Ramsey Raymer; three brothers, Charles Raymer (Lois) of Frankfort, Roy Raymer (Patricia) of Smiths Grove and Jerry Raymer of Leitchfield; a sister, Pamela Louise Raymer of Leitchfield; and special great-nephews, Mason and Nicholas Clark, and one great-niece, Lily Clark, all of Bowling Green; and several other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at noon at Mount Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Leitchfield, with visitation Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel in Bowling Green and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the church, with the Rev. Bill Macy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Leitchfield.
