Venus Evelyn Gott Smith, 86, of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 9:13 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
The Warren County native was the daughter of the late Marshall and Lillian Bohannon Gott and was the wife of the late Foster G. Wayne Smith. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ernest Lee Gott, and is survived by several cousins. She was a member of First Christian Church.
Per her prearranged wishes, there will be a graveside service at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
