Eastlake, OH – The Bowling Green Hot Rods (7-3) used a franchise-record 22 runs, 23 hits, and six home runs to win 22-12 over the Lake County Captains (3-7) on Sunday afternoon at Classic Park. The win, put away by an 11-run ninth inning, clinched a four-game series sweep for the Hot Rods and brings the team’s seven-game road trip to a close with their fifth straight victory. With the wind blowing at a brisk pace straight out of Classic Park, the Hot Rods scored 13 runs via the six long balls, breaking the previous franchise record of four.
